MVC endorsements for Roseville (ISD 623) School Board
The Maplewood Voters Coalition has endorsed five candidates for Roseville (ISD 623) School Board. Six candidates will survive the September 11 primary. From our Voters Guide:
Incumbent Ring promotes a school system organized to serve the common good. Return his experience and his focus on quality education for all children to leadership on the school board.
Ms. Edstrom's extensive experience on the boards of community organizations positions her to guard the line between the School Board and the district's professional administration. Her business perspective is a key component of an effective board.
Ms. Dion's training in psychology and skill with conflict resolution are assets to a board committed to consensus decision-making. She lets the situation provide information for the problem solving process without a preconceived outcome.
First class schools need first class science and math programs for which Dr. Martin is a first class advocate. Extensive citizen committee experience grounds his preparation for School Board service.
Mr. Anderson is enthusiastically committed to representing all district residents as well as support, administrative, and professional staff with a proven track record on citizen committees. His agenda is focused on the process of involving all perspectives in district policy making.
Candidates May, Kelsey, and Kline did not participate in the MVC endorsement process. From their public statements, it is apparent that candidates Kysylyczyn, Bahnemann, Machyowsky, and Olson are using this School Board election to advance a personal agenda.
